Your school is invited to participate in our Annual Student Days program at the Louisiana Renaissance Festival! For three specific weekdays, we showcase the unique educational aspect of our faire which is geared especially toward K-12 students and their teachers.

Each of our Student Days is open only to students, their teachers, and staff. We are not open to the general public for our Student Days.

2024 Student Days Dates:

Nov. 12, 2024 – High School Students

Nov. 13, 2024 – Middle School and Home School Students

Nov. 14, 2024 – Elementary School Students

Thank you for your interest in the Louisiana Renaissance Festival Student Day program. Details are provided below including a link to order tickets, or you can call our Student Day office at (985) 222-2551 if you have any questions or need additional information.  

 

2024 Dates 9am-2pm each day:

Grades 9 - 12 Tues Nov 12  

Grades 5 - 8 & homeschool Wed Nov 13   

Grades K - 5 Thurs Nov 14

*Grade levels are suggested to keep age groups together as much as possible. All three student day show schedules are identical. Our weekend schedule changes regularly so we encourage you to visit us often.

 

Time:

Students may arrive any time after 8:15am. Gates open from 9am-2pm. We are an outdoor event, and we are open rain or shine. Please make sure students dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.

 

Admission Tickets: 

Discount Student Tickets are $13.90 per person (taxes added for non-exempt schools which is $15 per ticket) if ordered by October 31. Student Day Tickets ordered after October 31 are $20 (tax included) per person for on-site sales November 12-14 (based on availability). Parent/chaperone tickets are $18 (tax and handling fees included, 3% credit card processing fee still applies and must be paid in full by November 5 to avoid cancellation.

 

Ordering Tickets: 

Tickets may be ordered through this link or by calling our Student Day office at (985) 222-2551. Orders paid in full by October 31 will have tickets mailed to the address on the order. Orders received after October 31 will be held for pickup at the festival entrance. All Pre-orders end on November 5. Each order received by October 31 will include one complimentary teacher ticket for every 10 purchased student tickets. Each order will be subject to a $12 processing and handling fee. Additional tickets may be purchased same-day on-site for $20 each until sold out. 

 

Forms of payment:

Accepted forms of payment are by school or personal check, cash, or by credit card. Tax-exempt schools must pay by school check and must provide proof of exemption. Proof can be emailed to fieldtrip@larf.org or mailed to the address below. Checks should be made out to the “Louisiana Renaissance Festival.” Our tax ID is 72-1480879. When paying by check, please include the invoice number on the check. Credit card payments are subject to a 3% processing fee.

What is the cost of admission?

Student and adult are $15 per person ($13.90 for tax-exempt schools, proof must be provided). Advance ticket reservations may be made any time before November 1. Tickets purchased by October 31 will include one complimentary teacher ticket for each10 student tickets (payment must be received by October 31.)

We are a rain or shine outdoor event so please plan accordingly. All sales are final. 

 

What does the admission cover?

Basic admission includes access to the festival site, admission to all stage shows and demonstrations.

All vendor booths are open during our Student Days program; however, some merchants may choose to offer more affordable items for students.

Rides and games typically run $2-$5 each and are cash only. Soft drinks are $3 each and food items start at $3 each. Most food vendors are cash only. ATMs are located throughout the festival. 

 

When will we receive our tickets?

We will begin mailing out orders as we receive payments through October 31. Tickets reserved/purchased after October 31, will be held for pick up at the festival. Advance ticket sales will end November 5th.

Can tickets be purchased on site the day of our field trip?

Tickets will only be sold on site if available. We are not open to the public and capacity is limited each day to ensure students and teachers have an enjoyable experience. Please purchase in advance to guaranty entry!

Can I transfer my tickets to another day?

Tickets may be transferred, based on availability to another student day in the current festival season, no later than November 7.  We are a rain or shine outdoor event. All sales are final.

Are the shows and demonstrations age-appropriate?

Yes they are. During Student Days, all of our performers and demonstrations are geared specifically to the age of the crowd.

Can souvenirs and gifts be purchased on Student Days?
Of course. All vendor booths are open during our Student Days program, however, some merchants may choose to offer more affordable items for students.

Are there food and beverages available for purchase?
Yes. During Student Days our usual festival concessions, including turkey legs, will be available. You may also elect to bring your own lunches. Please note you will be responsible for transporting and storing your own lunches. â€‹
